2 tablespoons olive oil

6 bratwurst sausages

1 sliced red onion

1 tablespoon minced garlic

8 ounces portobello mushrooms

1 sliced green pepper

1 sliced yellow pepper

2 Gala apples cut into 1/2-inch-thick wedges

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon fresh minced sage

1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

1-First, prepare all ingredients by slicing the onions, peppers, and apples as specified.

2-Second, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

3-Third, add the bratwurst sausages and brown them, turning occasionally for about 6 minutes.

4-Fourth, remove the sausages and add the remaining olive oil to the skillet, then cook the onions for 1 minute.

5-Fifth, add the peppers and cook for 3 minutes until they soften, then stir in the mushrooms for another minute.

6-Sixth, mix in the sage, salt, and pepper for seasoning.

7-Finally, sautรฉ the apples separately and add them to the skillet along with the bratwurst and chicken broth, stir to combine, and transfer to the oven. Bake for about 20 minutes until everything is done.
