Ingredients
3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, boiled and shredded
8 ounces cream cheese, cubed (full-fat block preferred)
1 cup ranch dressing
1 cup hot sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
ยฝ cup green onion, chopped
1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
Instructions
1-Poach the chicken breasts by bringing a large pot of water to a boil, adding the chicken, returning to boil, then removing from heat and covering. Let chicken cook covered for about 25 minutes. Cool and shred.
2-Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and spray a 9ร9-inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
3-In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, warm cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder, whisking constantly until the mixture is creamy and combined. Remove from heat.
4-Stir in shredded chicken, green onions, 1 cup mozzarella, and 1 cup cheddar cheese into the sauce.
5-Transfer mixture to the baking pan, then top with the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
6-Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until cheese is melted and the edges bubble.
7-Turn oven to broil and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the top is golden brown. Remove immediately.
8-Serve warm with crackers, tortilla chips, pretzels, vegetable sticks, pita bread, or sliced baguette.
