Ingredients

– 4 thick slices of slightly stale white bread (about 1 inch or 2.5 cm thick)

– 2 large eggs (or 3 small eggs)

– Pinch of salt

– 1/4 cup white sugar

– 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

– 3 tablespoons butter, divided

Instructions

1-Gather all ingredients and prepare the bread by slicing it into bite-sized cubes.

2-Whisk the eggs, milk, and salt in a bowl for the batter.

3-Mix 1/4 cup white sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder in a shallow bowl.

4-Melt 1 1/2 tablespoons of the 3 tablespoons butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat, making sure it doesn’t brown.

Notes

🍞 Use slightly stale bread to maintain cube shape and avoid excess egg absorption.
πŸ”ͺ A block loaf is best for thick slices; pre-sliced bread may be too thin.
πŸ”₯ Reheat leftovers in a hot oven or air fryer to restore crispness if not serving immediately.
