¼ jalapeño for heat and flavor and garnish
1 ounce tequila blanco for cocktail base
1 ounce orange liqueur for sweetness and citrus notes
1 ounce lime juice for glass rim
½ ounce agave nectar or honey or orange juice
Ice
Tajín seasoning or kosher salt for rimming
Instructions
1-Prepare a rocks glass by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim, then dipping it into Tajín or kosher salt. Fill the glass with ice.
2-Muddle the sliced jalapeño in a cocktail shaker to release its heat.
3-Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, agave nectar, and ice to the shaker.
4-Shake thoroughly until chilled.
5-Strain the mixture into the prepared glass, garnish with additional jalapeño slices, and serve.
