Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1 packet onion soup mix

– 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (or about 2.5 cups homemade cream of mushroom soup)

– 1/4 cup milk

– 1/4 cup sour cream

– 1 cup shredded cheese (split into 1/2 cup for filling and remaining for topping)

– 30 oz shredded hash browns (frozen, used straight from the bag)

– 1/2 lb cooked and crumbled bacon

Instructions

1-Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2-Cut bacon into small pieces and cook in a large cast iron skillet; remove bacon and most of the grease.

3-Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.

4-Stir in onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, 1/2 cup shredded cheese, and cooked bacon until combined.

5-Spread shredded hash browns on top; optionally toss in bacon grease for flavor.

6-Sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top.

7-Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and hash browns are crispy.
