🍰 This Dump Cake Recipe is a quick and easy dessert that requires minimal prep and no mixing, making it perfect for busy days.
⏲️ With just a few simple ingredients, it delivers a deliciously sweet and comforting treat that’s ready in under an hour.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling

1 can (15 to 20 ounces) crushed pineapple (undrained)

1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix

1 cup butter

Instructions

1-Preheat your oven: preheating your oven to 325ΒΊF and coating a 9Γ—13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray to ensure nothing sticks.

2-Spread the cherry pie filling: evenly spread the 1 can (21 ounces) of cherry pie filling at the bottom of the dish for a fruity base.

3-Layer the crushed pineapple: layer the 1 can (15 to 20 ounces) of crushed pineapple evenly over the pie filling, making sure not to drain it as the juice adds moisture and flavor.

4-Sprinkle the yellow cake mix: sprinkle the 1 box (15.25 ounces) of yellow cake mix uniformly over the pineapple layer without mixing it in.

5-Melt and pour butter: melt half a cup of the 1 cup of butter and pour it over the cake mix to help it set.

6-Distribute the remaining butter: take the remaining half cup of butter, cut it into small pieces, and distribute them on top for even browning.

7-Bake: Bake for about 40 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and the filling bubbles around the edges, checking occasionally for the best quick and easy dump cake recipe results.

8-Cool and serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving warm, perhaps with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra delight.

Notes

πŸ’ Use unsalted butter for best flavor and control over salt content.
🍰 Experiment with different canned fruit fillings such as strawberry, blueberry, apple, or peach along with matching cake mixes.
πŸ”₯ If the top isn’t golden or the cake isn’t cooked fully, extend baking time, increase temperature slightly, or briefly broil the top for browning.
