๐ŸŽจ These festive treats offer a playful way to enjoy a classic favorite, perfect for kids and adults alike during the holiday season.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

– 15 cups rice cereal provides the base for the crispy texture in all batches

– 15 tablespoons salted butter used to melt and bind the mixture for each batch

– 15 cups mini marshmallows adds sweetness and helps hold the shapes together

– Food coloring in yellow, pink, purple, green, and blue shades: for yellow, use 3 drops of pink; for pink, use 4 drops of pink; for purple, use 3 drops of pink and 2 drops of blue; for green, use 4 drops of yellow and 1 drop of blue; for blue, use 4 drops of blue

Instructions

1-Melt 3 tablespoons of salted butter in a medium pan over low heat.

2-Add 3 cups of mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted.

3-Remove the pan from heat to prevent overcooking.

4-Add the food coloring at this stage: yellow uses 3 drops of pink; pink uses 4 drops of pink; purple uses 3 drops of pink and 2 drops of blue; green uses 4 drops of yellow and 1 drop of blue; blue uses 4 drops of blue. This step is key for even color distribution, as highlighted in our tips section.

5-Stir in 3 cups of rice cereal until it’s fully coated with the mixture.

6-Let the mixture cool slightly so it’s easy to handle without sticking to your hands.

7-Weigh out 0.5 oz portions and mold them by hand into egg shapes; rub butter on your fingers if needed to keep things smooth.

8-Allow the shaped eggs to cool completely before storing or serving.

Notes

๐ŸŽจ Add food coloring before mixing in cereal for even and vibrant color distribution.
โš–๏ธ Use a food scale to measure uniform 0.5 oz portions for consistent egg sizes.
๐Ÿงˆ Butter your fingers while shaping to prevent sticking and make molding easier.
๐ŸŒˆ Yellow is achieved using pink food coloring due to cereal tint; adjust colors as needed.
๐Ÿ”ต A light teal blue works best as pastel blue is hard to get with yellowish cereal.
