🍫 Enjoy the rich chocolate flavor combined with the satisfying crunch of rice cereal in this easy-to-make Fudge Krispies recipe.
🍚 A perfect no-bake treat that’s quick to prepare and great for sharing at any occasion.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12-15 squares 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 (11 1/2 ounce) package milk chocolate chips for that creamy, fudgy base

1/2 cup butter helps bind everything together and adds a smooth finish

1/2 cup light corn syrup ensures a glossy coating that keeps the bars chewy

2 teaspoons vanilla extract boosts the overall flavor with a warm, sweet note

1 cup granulated sugar provides the perfect level of sweetness to balance the chocolate

4 cups puffed rice cereal delivers the crunchy texture that makes these bars fun to eat

Instructions

1-Gathering and Prepping: First, gather all ingredients and prepare a 9Γ—13 inch pan by lightly greasing it or lining with parchment paper for easy removal. This step sets you up for success and keeps things tidy. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference in how smoothly the rest goes.

2-Melting and Mixing: Second, in a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat, then stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and light corn syrup continuously until fully melted and smooth. Once that’s done, remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract and salt to enhance flavor complexity. At this point, the mixture should smell amazing and be ready for the cereal.

3-Combining and Setting: Third, pour the crisp rice cereal into a large mixing bowl, then slowly add the warm chocolate fudge mixture, stirring gently to coat all cereal pieces evenly. Fourth, transfer the coated cereal mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly and pressing down lightly to compact. Finally, allow the fudge Krispies to cool at room temperature or refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

πŸ₯„ Use chocolate-flavored rice cereal to intensify the chocolate taste.
🌾 Add rolled oats for extra fiber and a chewy texture.
❄️ Always store the bars in the refrigerator to prevent melting due to the corn syrup base.
