๐Ÿง„ This slow-cooker recipe simplifies dinner with easy prep and comforting, flavorful results that everyone will love.

  • Total Time: 5 hours 5 minutes to 6 hours 5 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– 1.5 pounds (680 grams) boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 1 bottle (16 ounces or 473 milliliters) Parmesan garlic sauce

– 8 ounces (227 grams) cream cheese, cut into 1-inch pieces

– 1/2 cup (50 grams) grated Parmesan cheese, preferably fresh

– 12 ounces (340 grams) dry pasta such as rotini or penne, to be cooked and drained

– 2 tablespoons (7 grams) fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

– 1 teaspoon (2 grams) red pepper flakes, for garnish (adjust to your taste)

Instructions

1-Step 1: Prepare Your Crockpot Spray the crockpot with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier. This little step ensures your chicken doesn’t cling to the pot and helps everything cook evenly.

2-Step 2: Layer the Ingredients Place the 1.5 pounds (680 grams) of chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot. Pour the entire 16 ounces (473 milliliters) of Parmesan garlic sauce over the chicken, then add the 8 ounces (227 grams) of cream cheese pieces and the 1/2 cup (50 grams) of grated Parmesan cheese on top. This layering locks in flavors as it slow-cooks.

3-Step 3: Cook the Dish Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and easy to shred. Once done, shred the chicken and stir it into the sauce for that creamy texture.

4-Step 4: Cook and Combine Pasta While the crockpot works its magic, cook the 12 ounces (340 grams) of pasta according to the package instructions, then drain it. Add the cooked pasta to the crockpot and mix everything together to coat the pasta evenly.

5-Step 5: Garnish and Serve Garnish with the 2 tablespoons (7 grams) of fresh parsley and 1 teaspoon (2 grams) of red pepper flakes before serving. If you’re looking to add a citrusy twist, consider trying something like our refreshing lemon cream pie for dessert to brighten your meal.

Notes

๐Ÿ— Using chicken thighs instead of breasts yields juicier, more tender chicken.
๐Ÿง€ Let cream cheese come to room temperature to avoid curdling.
๐Ÿ’ง Add chicken broth to thin the sauce if it becomes too thick during cooking.
