Ingredients

Scale

2 cups bread or all-purpose flour Forms the base of the dough

1 cup warm water Activates the yeast

1 1/8 teaspoon instant yeast Helps the bread rise

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar

Olive oil for drizzling (amount as needed)

3 cloves garlic, minced

2/3 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese

1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

Flaked sea salt for topping (to taste)

Instructions

1-In a glass bowl, mix 2 cups bread or all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon kosher salt.

2-In a measuring cup, combine 1 cup warm water, 1 1/8 teaspoon instant yeast, and 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar. Let it sit until foamy.

3-Stir the yeast mixture into the flour until a dough just forms.

4-Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight for slow fermentation.

5-Remove the dough from the fridge. Drizzle olive oil into an 8-inch round cake pan and place the dough in, tucking the edges underneath for a smooth surface. Cover and let it rise at room temperature for 2 hours.

6-Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

7-Remove the plastic wrap, drizzle more olive oil over the dough, and press dimples into it with your fingers.

8-Mix 3 cloves garlic (minced), 2/3 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese, and 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning. Sprinkle over the dough, then top with flaked sea salt.

9-Place the pan in the oven, reduce temperature to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, and bake for 22-24 minutes until golden.

Notes

๐ŸŒฟ Yeast mixture should bubble and foam; if not, yeast may be inactive.
๐Ÿ‘Œ Dimpling the dough creates pockets for olive oil, enhancing flavor and crust.
โณ Refrigerating overnight allows slow fermentation for deeper flavor and better texture.
