Ingredients

– 6 tablespoons butter for melting and binding the mixture together

– 21 ounces mini marshmallows (divided) for melting, mixing, and topping to create gooey layers

– 8 1/4 cups cereal (divided) for base mixture and sprinkling on top for extra crunch

– 3/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips (divided) for richness and melting on top

Instructions

1-First, in a large pot over low heat, melt the 6 tablespoons of butter until it’s fully liquid, then add most of the 21 ounces of mini marshmallows and stir until smooth and melted. This creates the sticky base that holds everything together, so keep stirring to avoid any lumps. Once melted, remove from heat and mix in the majority of the 8 1/4 cups of cereal, coating it evenly for that signature crunch.

2-Stir in the remaining marshmallows and some of the 3/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips to add gooey pockets and extra chocolate flavor.

3-Press the mixture firmly into a greased baking dish to set the shape, using the back of a spoon or wax paper for evenness.

4-Sprinkle the remaining cereal and chocolate chips on top for a finishing touch that adds texture and visual appeal.

5-Let the bars cool at room temperature or in the fridge until firm, then cut into squares for serving.
