Ingredients
– 1/3 cup creme de menthe (preferably green for color)
– 1/3 cup creme de cocoa (white version recommended to complement creme de menthe)
– 10 to 15 ice cubes
– 4 cups vanilla ice cream (vanilla bean ice cream preferred)
– Extra dash of creme de menthe for serving (optional)
Instructions
1-In a large blender, combine 1/3 cup creme de menthe, 1/3 cup creme de cocoa, 10 to 15 ice cubes, and half of the 4 cups vanilla ice cream. Pulse until well blended for a few seconds to start the mixing process.
2-Slowly add the remaining ice cream and pulse again until the mixture reaches a creamy consistency. Remember, one half-gallon of ice cream can make about two batches, so plan accordingly if youβre serving a crowd.
3-Once blended, store the drink in a sealed container in the freezer, like a container with a lid or empty ice cream containers. It can be enjoyed fresh or kept for up to three months, making it great for prep ahead of time.
4-When ready to serve, scoop or pour the cocktail into four glasses, add a small dash of creme de menthe on top, and optionally garnish with chocolate-covered biscuit sticks and spoons for an extra touch.
