🍔 These Easy Hamburger Steaks offer a quick and flavorful meal with juicy, seasoned beef patties smothered in rich onion gravy.
🍳 Perfect for busy weeknights, this recipe delivers comforting, hearty flavor with minimal effort and simple ingredients.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (preferably ground chuck)

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 teaspoon ground mustard

– 1 small onion, thinly sliced

– 1 (10.5-ounce) can French onion condensed soup (undiluted)

– 1 (0.87-ounce) packet brown gravy mix

– 1/2 cup water

– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

1-Gather your ingredients and prepare your workstation; finely slice the 1 small onion and measure out everything else.

2-In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with the seasonings and mix gently to keep the texture just right.

3-Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making them a bit larger since they shrink when cooking.

4-Heat a skillet, preferably cast iron, over medium-high heat and cook the patties undisturbed for about 4 minutes per side until they’re nicely browned.

5-After cooking, let them rest on paper towels, then use the skillet to cook the sliced onion until translucent, about 3 minutes.

6-Add the 1 (10.5-ounce) can French onion condensed soup, 1 (0.87-ounce) packet brown gravy mix, and 1/2 cup water; stir well and bring to a boil before adding 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.

7-Return the patties to the skillet, coat them in the gravy, and simmer until they’re done to your liking the whole process takes about 20 minutes of cooking time.
