Ingredients

– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 1 cup (113 g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

– 8 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled (about 1 cup)

– 4 large jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely diced

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 10 egg roll wrappers

– Vegetable or canola oil for frying

– Ranch dressing for dipping

– Vegan cheese substitute

– Gluten-free spring roll wraps

– Plant-based cream cheese

Instructions

1-First, soften the cream cheese by leaving it at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes, then in a large bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 cup (113 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 8 cooked and crumbled bacon strips, 4 seeded and finely diced jalapeno peppers, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder until well mixed.

2-Next, place about โ…“ cup of the jalapeno mixture onto the center of each of the 10 egg roll wrappers.

3-Moisten the edges of each wrapper with water, then fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the left and right corners, and roll tightly to seal fully.

4-Heat 2-3 inches of vegetable or canola oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).

5-Fry the egg rolls in batches of 2-3, turning occasionally, until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

6-Drain the fried egg rolls on paper towels to remove excess oil, maintaining the oil temperature at 350ยฐF between batches.

7-Serve hot with ranch dressing for dipping.
