๐Ÿ‘ Peach Cobbler Recipe offers a classic Southern dessert featuring sweet peaches with a tender, buttery batter topping.
๐Ÿ”ฅ This easy-to-make cobbler is perfect for sharing and pairs wonderfully with ice cream or whipped cream.

  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

– 5 peaches, peeled, cored, and sliced (approximately 4 cups)

– 1 quart jar of canned peaches, undrained

– 3/4 cup sugar

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 6 tablespoons butter

– 1 cup flour

– 1 cup sugar

– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 3/4 cup milk

– Cinnamon for sprinkling on top

Instructions

1-First, if using fresh peaches, cook them with 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and juices release; skip this if using canned peaches from a 1-quart jar.

2-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and melt 6 tablespoons of butter in a 9ร—13 inch baking dish.

3-In a bowl, mix 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 3/4 cup milk until combined, then pour this batter over the melted butter.

4-Top the batter with your prepared peaches and their juices, then sprinkle cinnamon generously over the mixture.

5-Bake for 38 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly baking time might go up to an hour if your peaches are extra juicy.

6-Once done, let it cool slightly and serve warm, perhaps with a scoop of ice cream for that extra treat.
