Ingredients
1 lb gnocchi
5 to 6 tablespoons butter (divided)
2 to 3 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
crushed red pepper flakes to taste
Β½ teaspoon salt
ΒΌ to Β½ teaspoon black pepper
ΒΌ cup grated Parmesan cheese plus extra for serving
chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1-First, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat in your skillet. This step sets the foundation for the flavors to build.
2-Next, add the minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute until itβs lightly browned, releasing that wonderful aroma.
3-Then, add the uncooked gnocchi and fry for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring every 2 to 3 minutes to prevent burning and promote even crispness. Once the gnocchi is golden and crispy, lower the heat and mix in the remaining butter, lemon zest, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together to coat evenly and let the butter melt completely.
4-Finally, remove from heat, stir in the Parmesan cheese, and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if you like.
