Ingredients
2 large or 3 medium ripe-firm peaches, halved and pitted
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
2–3 tablespoons chopped pecans, optional
1/4 cup oats, quick cooking or regular
2 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into small pieces
Vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
1-Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF if using a regular oven, and butter a baking dish large enough to hold the peaches. If using an air fryer, skip to the next step.
2-Use a melon baller to scoop out and discard the red flesh from the center of each peach, creating a cavity to hold the streusel while leaving enough flesh for stability.
3-In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 2-3 tablespoons chopped pecans (if using), and 1/4 cup oats.
4-Add 2 tablespoons chilled butter (cut into small pieces) and mix with your fingers or a stand mixer paddle until the mixture is crumbly with pea-sized bits.
5-Divide the streusel filling among the peach cavities, packing it in.
6-For the air fryer method, place the peaches cut side up in the basket and cook at 350ยฐF for 5-15 minutes, checking after 5 minutes until lightly browned and soft but still holding shape.
7-For the oven method, place the peaches cut side up in the baking dish and bake at 350ยฐF for 35-45 minutes, until the topping is lightly browned and the peaches are softened but stable.
8-Let the peaches cool slightly before serving warm, topped with vanilla ice cream.
